Induction

Currently 22w with my second baby. First baby I had low Papp a, needed to be induced (at 41w) - balloon and then waters broken, both of which didn’t bring anything on, ended up having the drip and epidural etc. and then an episiotomy. However, labour was fine but placenta got stuck and then haemorrhaged requiring stitches and infusion etc.
placenta was sent away for testing as baby came out unexpectedly on 2nd percentile and it came back with parts of reduced blood flow.

Would love to hear positive stories of second births not requiring inductions, I’m due to be induced at 39 weeks this time due to complications previously.

I asked Google for you, and it says that if your first baby was born after 41 weeks then the chance of your second baby coming spontaneously before 39 weeks is 10-15% (does not take into account any other factors).
I would take that as nowhere near gospel! But it does indicate what I suspected, which is that your chance of a spontaneous birth before 39 weeks is low, unfortunately.

I know you're not keen on another induction, understandably. But might it be better to sort of resign yourself to probably having one, and then be pleasantly surprised if you don't? Second inductions are often smoother than first babies anyway, as your body has done it before, so hopefully it will be a better experience.
