Travel insurance cancellation cover after consultant advised against holiday in pregnancy

Hi,
I'm almost 24 weeks pregnant and have been under consultant care due to previous premature birth. My consultant has just told me that we shouldn't go on holiday abroad at the 28-29 weeks point due to my daughter being born at 32+6.
We booked when I was about 5 weeks pregnant and wasn't aware of it, and we have travel insurance and the consultant said they would give us a letter to give to the insurer. From reading the travel insurance policy it says that we are covered for cancellation as long as the trip is booked before confirmed pregnancy.

Does anyone know what confirmed pregnancy means in travel insurance terms? Does it just mean a positive test, or midwife appointment or 12 week scan?

Well if you weren’t aware , surely it isn’t a confirmed pregnancy ? But I don’t know the answer I’m afraid .

Presumably you have evidence that you then made a health professional aware when you tested positive, and then of your first appointments?

Hi yes I have that on the NHS app so hopefully that will count and I also have the appointment where it says pregnant.

That's what I thought too! I'm probably just overthinking it.
