swiss ball emergency!

I fished my ball out of the loft now that I am 32 wks and feeling heavy - but DISASTER!! The valve has got lost and I can't use the bloody thing. Duct tape is no use (surprise!) and the bike shop I visited looked at me as if I was deranged... any bright ideas?? I lived on it for the last 6 wks of my first pregnancy and I really want to avoid buying a new one.

Is it a long thin thing with a wide bung at the end. If so get yourself down to Sainsburys - they have childrens space hoppers dead cheap and they have the same valve.

mrsboogie · 23/06/2008 19:29

can I ask - what are these things good for? I keep hearing about them..

TheBlonde · 23/06/2008 19:30

swiss balls are only a fiver in argos

milkmoustache · 23/06/2008 19:34

Mrs boogie - they are ultra comfortable to sit/lean on in the late stages of pregnancy. Great for taking the weight off the bump, leaning forward when it is too painful to slump on the sofa, and when I had really restless legs excellent for fidgeting around on and allegedly strengthening your pelvic floor.

Everyone else - yes, I am a cheapskate and should just bite the bullet and buy another, but just hate the waste!

Milkmoustache - I hope you see this - I've just found a spare bung from my ball - mine came with two. I can send it to you if you like?

Sketchi · 25/06/2008 19:18

tesco's are under a fiver!

milkmoustache · 25/06/2008 21:10

Oh Who moved my chocolate - have just seen yr message!! Need to sort out my CAT thing as I've not done this yet, but I guess it's best to give a fiver to Mumsnet rather than Tescos (!), so you should be hearing from me shortly...
