Bleeding at 5 to 6 weeks pregnant, any positive experiences?

Hi everyone I'm 5/6 weeks pregnant and since Wednesday (now Saturday) I have been bleeding red blood on and off. It isn't enough to soak a pad, I have used one overnight and there was a smudge on there. It's mainly when I wipe. No big clots. I have no pain at all. I'm bloated and nauseous. I have a scan at the EPU tomorrow morning. 3rd baby and I did have spotting with them too. It just feels like it's more this time. My last baby is 6 months old so I don't know if this can be an issue with things not going back to 'normal' in my body.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any positive stories as I'm going crazy on Google!!

I had this and all was fine, I have several friends who also bled at this stage, and one who bled on and off throughout the pregnancy.
It isn’t necessarily worrying, so I hope that your scan shows that all is well. In my case the incredibly unsympathetic GP initially told me I was miscarrying, but the scan was inconclusive as too early for an heartbeat. A week later a second scan showed the heartbeat, all was fine and they thought that it was probably just implantation bleeding. I didn’t have any further bleeding, just a few days at five weeks.

Yes I had this. Bled before I took my test. Then big red bleed at 7 weeks and have now been bleeding on and off between 10 weeks and now. Currently 16+4. Have had so many scans and all seemingly ok but you have my sympathies, it is very stressful! They called see something called a subchorionic haematoma on a few of my earlier scans so the bleeds were attributed to that. Might be worth asking when they scan you?

With my first pregnancy I bled at 6 and 7 weeks. All fine. I think I may have bled with my second pregnancy at a similar time too, but I don’t recall now!

Thank you all for replying, it really means a lot to hear other people's stories. You'd think after 2 previous pregnancies I wouldn't be like this but the worry is just constant. I'm just desperate to get the scan over with so I know what is what.

Can I ask how heavy your bleeds were?

bleeding heavy enough to fill half a pad I guess at the worst? A lot of the time it would just be when I wiped. Hope your scan goes ok tomorrow, is so nerve wracking waiting for them!

Hi just thought I'd put an update on. Unfortunately it didn't turn out well. They are suspecting an ectopic pregnancy but are still unsure. Really sad but unfortunately wasn't meant to be.
