Sorry if this is the wrong place but I am starting to shop for baby stuff and not sure where else to post

I am looking for wrap around baby vests that do up between the legs and down the side with poppers (no ties) but can't find them anywhere

I've also been recommeded to get some 'continental' design vests that have poppers across the back (?)

Can nyone suggest where I might find these styles ?

Thanks everso

Try la redoute. Larger boots stores stock them too, pure cotton.

The front popper vests are good, especially for sleeping or poo explosion babies.

I can't for the life of me imagine why a back fastening vest would be good, but await to be possibly enlightened.

I have just been corrected that the back fastening is a babygrow not a vest - still a bit of a mystrery to me too !

Thanks for the other suggestions I'll give them a try

Petit Bateau do all this (if you're in London) don't think they do online within the UK. not cheap though.

Ive seen some side popper ones in H&M..

Not sure about the poppers across the back ... are you sure they didn't have the babygrows on back to front

green baby do them, fab for a new born, long and short sleeved. bigger sizes come up quite small though. you can shop online if you don't have a green baby near you

I remember getting a disney babygrow from debenhams for my DS, it had poppers up the back, only used it a couple of times as i thought it could be uncomfortable for him as babys tend to lie on their backs alot. Anyway not sure if they still do them, but i would advise againt them, ones with front poppers are alot easier!

For night I found the 'nighties' with tied elasticated bottoms, or even open a godsend, so easy to change and no struggling from the tot if they got their foot stuck inbetween poppers, etc.

I used them for my boy and girl.

poppers across the back are a terrible, terrible idea. It's almost impossible to get them on and off.

Wrap around vests are very useful though, I got mine from La Redoute too.

All my DS's ones came from Petit Bateau. Their stuff isn't expensive in France (but extortionate in the UK) - is anyone you know going over who could stock up for you? They're beautiful fine cotton too which is lovely for small babies, especially in hot weather. Green babies ones are thicker

bikerunski · 23/06/2008 18:30

Greenbaby do wrap around stuff, and if you know anyone in France, so do Carrefourre!

The poppers up the back ones are more often for girls romppers fro some reason, manily seem to be the french mail order catalogues, but I don't really like them.

The best things I found are the nightgowns as strictmachine mentions- I use them day or night for newborns. They tend to be a little more expensive but can last for anything betwen 6 and 9 months- much longer than a regular babygro.
