Daily spotting at 5 weeks - help and advice

I’m currently 5w3d pregnant and since Sunday I have had daily spotting. Mostly brown or light pink but there’s been a few instances where it’s been red. I can’t get scan until 6 weeks to check all is okay. Has anyone ever had similar and it’s been a good outcome? Just feel helpless and in limbo that there’s nothing I can do until Monday. Just to add I’m not having any pains right now. Thanks 🙏

I had spotting that turned to bleeding and a miscarriage on my 1st pregnancy. For my 2nd pregnancy I spotted daily for 4.5 weeks and DS is a healthy 16 month old.

@Chocolateaddict999thanks for the message ☺️ I had a chemical for my 1st pregnancy which came on so fast with heavy bleeding at just over 4 weeks. I then had my boy who’s now 3. I’m just confused as this is just daily but small bits when I wipe. Can I ask, when you were pregnant the 2nd time was the spotting brown/pink/red or a mixture? Glad you went on to have a healthy pregnancy second time around 🩷

I had spotting every day from 5 weeks until 10 weeks. Mixture of red, pink, brown. Would fluctuate in amounts. It turned out it was due to an SCH. Currently 15 weeks and all is good 😊

I also had spotting (and fresh red bleeding) for 2 weeks in my daughter's pregnancy although I was never diagnosed with an SCH in that one.

It was daily and only when I wiped. At the start it was red but turned to brown within 1-2 days and then stayed brown. The amount varied day to day sometimes it was everytime I went to the loo and other times it was just once a day. I had 3 scans during that time and no cause of the blood could be found. The best guess the doc could give me was that it was from the placenta embedding in and because my uterus was tilted towards my spine it was taking a while for the blood to work its way out.

@Bluebellsfortwo thank you for that, so glad your pregnancy is healthy 🩷 really hoping all will be okay 🤞 but also trying to not get my hopes up too much! Will find out for sure on Monday when I can go EPAU ☺️

@Chocolateaddict999thank you, I didn’t realise how common bleeding in pregnancy was until I read on here about other people’s experiences! Really hoping for a good outcome 🤞 thanks ladies.

Just to update anyone that might be reading this I miscarried over the weekend. I am going for a blood test this morning to make sure my pregnancy hormone levels are coming down.

I had spotting and bleeding all through my pregnancy and that baby is now 19!

So sorry to hear this OP, if you have any questions let us know. Please give yourself grace during this time and remember this is not something you did nor is it your body letting you down. It took me a while to emotionally accept that even though I knew rationally that was the case.

Thank you 🌸 just feel very empty right now 😞trying to stay positive and be grateful for my 3 year old that is perfectly healthy 🩷
