Bleeding and cramps at 5 weeks after ICSI, any similar experiences?

Hi everyone, just looking to hear similar stories and see if there's any hope after what I experienced this morning.

I am currently 5 weeks 5 days pregnant via ICSI. my little embryo was a 4AA and when I got my bloods done at 13dp5dt they came back at 947. My tests have been dye stealers and have continued to progress nicely. I have all of the pregnancy symptoms including quite bad nausea.

Today on my way to work I had some mild period cramps that got slightly worse and I had a gush of blood. It didn't soak a pad but when I went to the toilet I bled more and when I wiped it was like a period. I did lose some small clots aswell.

I rang the EPU who have booked me in for an appointment this afternoon which is brilliant but I'm so anxious.

The bleeding has now turned very very light and only when I wipe now. I would say the heavy bleed lasted about an hour.

Has anyone experienced similar and it turned out to be ok in the end? I know I'm probably clutching at straws here and this little pregnancy just might not be meant to be. I have a very healthy little boy at home and I'm so thankful for him. Thanks in advance.

Bleeding in early pregnancy can be incredibly frightening, but it doesn't always mean the worst, especially if it has already slowed down. It's good that the EPU is seeing you today at this point, they can give you much better information than anyone online. Wishing you the best and hoping everything turns out okay.
