Anyone else experiencing/experienced hideous hip pain during the night from I’m presuming side sleeping?

29 weeks and I wake up about 5-7 times through the night from discomfort of my hips being in agony which is then affecting my sleep and causing me to feel grotty the next day from being over tired.

Anyone got any tips to help with this? I do all the classics like pillow between legs for hip alliance but nothing seems to work. It’s affecting pain my lower back too from such poor sleep.

Yes I did. Sorry I don't have any advice on how to help other than it does get better after you give birth 😫You could try and see a physio to see if they have any exercises which might help or perhaps some kind of girdle such as they use with pelvic girdle pain.

I think sleeping on your back does help but unfortunately is not recommended in pregnancy. Can you nap during the day at all?

I could have written this! Only 24 weeks and already waking up with terrible hip pain. Only trying to straighten my legs and change sides helps and trying to sleep on my own mattress (which is hard with a toddler wanting me to come into his bed all night!). Hope you find something that relieves it OP!

I’m 20 weeks and have this almost nightly 😩 also get sciatica down my left leg too. I was told by my gp to sit up and place a pillow under my bum for a few minutes to relieve pressure on hips but who wants to do that multiple times in the night 😩 I’ve also been swapping side and pillow between my knees but it’s still painful
