So I’ve just been for my anomaly scan this morning and feeling a bit anxious as the scan was so quick! We were literally in and out in 18 minutes, which included a few questions at start so I’d say only about 10-15 minutes actual scan time.
Is this enough time to get a proper look at everything? This is my 3rd baby and both my 20 week scans were almost an hour long before.
I don’t know why but I’m so anxious this pregnancy about something being wrong and I’m worried that they didn’t look thoroughly at everything!
The sonographer did say that baby was cooperating and he seemed to see everything quite easily, but both my other babies were the same at the 20 week scan and were in good positions and the scans were far longer! He pointed out the baby’s brain and arms and legs but that’s about it! He didn’t seem to spend long looking at the heart, bladder or face etc.
What are everyone else’s experiences of their anomaly scans? Am I just overthinking? 🙈
