Hi everyone,

Hope everyone's keeping okay in this heat!?

I just wanted to ask how long everyone is taking their prenatals for and what ones are they taking? I am on Pregnacare Max as I used these in my last one but jesus, they're so big and not helping my nausea much! Tbh I dread taking them lol but my diet is pretty poor as is. I am a picky eater and the nausea hasn't helped :(

My whole pregnancy, plus 12 months afterwards and for as long as you breastfeed. That's what I was told anyway.

I take vitafusion prenatals and have done for the past 2 years because I've been pregnant and/or breastfeeding since 2024. 35 weeks pregnant now so I've got at least another year of taking them!

Thank you very much :) I might give these a go!

I never did - only took folic acid and vitamin D. Couldn’t stomach the bigger size pills. My diet was rubbish in first trimester, baby was 4kg and very healthy. You don’t have to take them!

I like them! They're gummies and they taste pretty good.

They don't contain iron though so if you're low then you might need an iron supplement too. Pregnancy and breastfeeding can really take a toll on your body because it naturally prioritises nutrients for the baby so it's a good idea to take them for a while!

Just folic acid, vit D and vit C as that's what's in the ones the NHS gives you free. Took them throughout all my pregnancies and they didn't make nausea worse, so I suspect there is something else in your pregnacare ones which is nausea inducing (or maybe it's just the size).

Really? My diet is absolutely awful lol not on purpose but I've always been very picky with food so try to compensate with the prenatals but I've heard some people say it's just a money making scheme

Thanks so much - I like the sound of gummies tbh, I wretch every time I take these large pills!
