Hi, I found out i was around 5 weeks pregnant over the bank holiday weekend. Ive contacted midwives today and they told me to fill out a registration for on mypregnancynotes.com, This wasn't a thing when I had my first son in 2015.

Ive filled it out do I just wait now? Will someone contact me with an appointment? Sorry if im sounding thick its all come as a huge shock and I'm just trying to make sure I've done everything right

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yep, just wait and they'll contact you about a booking app.

I've never heard of that website but in our area you self refer via the local NHS trust to maternity services. I heard back a few weeks later with a booking appointment at around 8/9 weeks and then scan date around 12 weeks - I got letters. Maybe worth checking with your GP what the process is? I

You’ll book in about 10 weeks and then first scan about 12 weeks. They’ll contact you for both. Congratulations!

Different trusts use different systems, mine is badger notes next along use my pregnancy notes. If you want to double check Google your trust/hospital maternity and it'll confirm. Don't bother GP they'll tell you the same as midwives.

Congratulations! Yes it’s a case of waiting now until your booking appointment which feels like it takes forever 😅 or if you’re impatient (like me), book yourself a private scan at six weeks to see the heartbeat and the little bean in all its glory! I did this with both of mine, their predicted due date was way more accurate than the NHS’s!

I did the self refer this morning and they got back to me this afternoon with the 10 week appointment. But will definitely getting a viability scan too, earlier. Congratulations!

I was just worried because I haven't received an email or anything saying they've received it! Maybe I'm impatient haha! Ill try and be more patient and wait! Congratulations to you too ❤️

There's no rush, they can't do anything for you at this stage. I wish they didn't encourage such early self referral, having had a miscarriage, getting myself administratively out of the system was an upsetting and unnecessary nightmare.
