This is probably my 3rd post but im just looking for some reassurance, so I have been testing with easy@home tests I had my first vvvf BFP at 8dpo then I tested twice on 8dpo then at 9,10 and 11dpo I had lines which are a little darker but arnt progressing very fast I know these tests are known for slow progression but I can help but lose my mind! I took a boots frer at 10/11dpo and the line was darker fast forward 2 days I havnt tested with my other frer yet as im waiting to see a difference, also tested yesterday and today wit cheap boots tests and they have stayed the same, AF due in 2 days ill attach pics below

Top Boots test looks strong. I really think this level of testing is unhealthy though.

Wolfiefan · 26/05/2026 13:08

Pregnancy tests aren’t designed to be used like this. They are supposed to be used to test if you think you may be pregnant. Not to repeatedly test looking for “progression”

yonem · 26/05/2026 13:10

Agreed this is unhealthy. If you get a positive test you are pregnant. Save the money for something for the baby instead of spending on loads of tests.

I only came on here like many other women do looking for opinions, I know i shouldnt be testing early and obsessively but these tests were over a matter of 4 days, I took the frer because my easy@home wernt progressing much! I had all these tests here so havnt gone out of my way to go and buy some, and I still have another frer here which I havnt tested with one of them for a few days! I see many people who just like me who've had chemicals in the past come on here coming for help and support so I thought I would just get some thoughts from other people who have been thro the same! But anyway thank you for your honest opinions I appreciate it

Hey don’t get down about the comments on here. I have had previously similar ones and they suck! I thought this was more of a supportive site but some people think they know everything !! They definitely are progressing nicely and I hope you have a successful pregnancy !!

Kikifan88 · 26/05/2026 18:10

Thank u so much @Cutekitty for ur kind words, honestly this isnt a site to put each other down ive seen so many others post way more testing than I have aswell! Ive put the tests down for a couple days, but thank u very much for that comment thats all I needed was the support you've shown ❤️

Hey i was exactly the same! I was testing multiple times a day constantly checking for progression after a chemical last year. It was making me feel unwell with anxiety as I was chasing the dye stealers I would see online! The day before my 6 weeks scan my lines still weren’t dye stealers but to my surprise I found out I was having twins and I’m now 9 weeks. I wish I didn’t spent so much time and money on test as it made me so anxious and scared when I didn’t need to be. One minute I would feel positive then take a test and spend hours questioning the darkness of it. I would take each day as it comes and remember right now you are pregnant and it’s something to be excited about ❤️ don’t let the anxiety take over you as hard as it can be xx

Kikifan88 · 26/05/2026 19:39

@Nickydue2026 awe i love that for u congratulations! My partner is one of a twin! It makes u so anxious doesnt it? Im definitely leaving testing in the morning and going to wait to test untill the day after when AF is due! I think what makes it worse for me is im 38 nearly ive never ever tested more than once with any of my other pregnancies, 2 chemicals and 9 have 4 children! Thank u so much for ur kind words 💓

@Kikifan88thank you so much! It really does I don’t think the anxiety ever stops it’s just learning to manage and try and be positive which is difficult. I was the same with my older children I tested once and was like I’m having a baby but I was a lot younger then! Think getting a bit older you are more aware and educated about the negatives so it plays on your mind. Fingers crossed for you 🤞💖

sapphirerubydiamond · 27/05/2026 19:07

For what it’s worth even though it does make me more anxious I am also an obsessive tester 😅 I think your tests are progressing nicely, it’s still early days- I didn’t get a dye stealer until about a week after my period was due. I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant and also thought my tests were progressing slowly in those first initial days but I think that’s just part of testing so early.

The thing is if you’re going to test to judge line progression (rightly or wrongly) you’re best using the same brand of tests and testing at the same time of day otherwise it’s a bit meaningless as there’s so many variables (or at least that’s what I’ve also been told!)

congratulations on your pregnancy, hope everything progresses well for you 💕

Hannahx1992 · 27/05/2026 22:23

Hi! Ignore the comments on here, such a shame when it’s supposed to be a nice supportive forum.
I understand the need to test regularly. I think I felt like it was the only thing I could possibly do to reassure myself along the way after a long wait!

Anyway I’ve attached my tests from a year ago, with the DPO at the side using the easy at home. The 14dpo looks more faint than your tests now, so I think it looks positive for you so far ☺️. I was having blood tests at the same time and my HCG was average all the way through so the 14dpo was about what you’d expect I think. Although obviously I know everyone’s tests look different. I also never got a ‘dye stealer’ which worried me, but I’m writing this while feeding my healthy baby!

I hope you get some kind of comfort from this. Having the urge to obsessively test is hard enough without being made to feel guilty about it.

good luck xx 🫶🏻
