Pregnant while husband uses topical finasteride, any experiences?

Not sure if anyone has experienced anything similar. I have just found out that I am pregnant over 3 weeks. My husband has been taking topical finesteride daily, however I have not been in contact with the bottle and he washes his hands after each use. I have been reading some mixed messages online regarding the effects of informalities. Has anyone ever had a baby in this situation?

My partner stopped using it completely while I was pregnant. I believe issues are caused if you are carrying a male baby (?). Personally, I would be very careful of any contact with it as it can affect the development of the baby’s genitals.

I had no idea what it was and had to google it. I would contact your midwife service and explain, they may want to refer you to fetal medicine.

Is he using it for hair loss?

I’d be very uncomfortable being in direct contact with someone using the medication during pregnancy, and would expect him to stop the treatment, much in the same way you will be making significant changes during the pregnancy.
