Hi, I am basically a week into my miscarriage bleeding. I only only 5-6 weeks pregnant. Does this test still seem so strong for this point or is it normal? The first test I took on 19th and the second one on the 21st.
thanks

I think you can still show as positive until around 14 days after. I would hold off til then do anything their test and if still strong at that point go see the GP for a blood test. Are they not monitoring your blood hcg anyway ? X

I’m so sorry for your loss @SharpStork

I had surgical management off a miscarriage on 2nd January and was still getting strong pregnancy tests 3 weeks later. I was advised it can take a little while for levels to drop back down. I’d recommend you call your nearest early pregnancy unit, they should offer to do bloods to check your levels are decreasing and rule out that any of your miscarriage hasn’t passed fully. Take care x

I also had surgical management for a missed miscarriage and it also took me about 5 weeks to fully test negative. I was getting incredibly strong tests for the first 3 weeks. So it can be normal. But it can also be retained products so it might be worth speaking to the GP for a referral.
