Yesterday I had a dental operation, my consultant surgeon said the risks were extremely low and I’ve been waiting for this operation for years. It was just local anaesthetic so I’m not worried however the post surgery pain has been horrendous, finding it so hard that we as pregnant women can pretty much only have paracetamol. Last night the pain was SO bad that I took two cocodamols. I am 7 weeks pregnant. Stressing out about it now but at the time I felt like it was my only option! Should I be worried?

The placenta hasn’t taken over yet (ie where things could cross over)
this happens about weeks 10-12

You're fine. 2 co codamol aren't going to have hurt baby. Dental pain is the worst

I was prescribed 30mg codeine in pregnancy for severe sciatica and back pain that left he virtually unable to walk. I wasn’t keen on taking it, so I tried to hold off - but a few times the pain was excruciating so I took it having been reassured by the doctor that it was safe.

If you took a standard OTC dose that’s quite a low amount, so it should be ok.
