Trying to conceive after two abortions and struggling emotionally

Looking for some support without judgement.

I had an abortion last year due to a really difficult situation. After the abortion, I somehow conceived straight away the same month and had to then have another abortion which really affected me.

I have since started TTC (this is month 4/5) and I have had no luck. I’m in a really happy, supportive relationship. 28 years old and feel like I’m really ready now.

I feel awful like the abortion has stopped me being able to or that it is some sort of punishment now. I’m scared that I’m now unable to conceive or I missed my opportunity.

I have been tracking every month with ovulation strips and have made sure to time intercourse correctly, taken vitamins as well as my partner. Stopped vaping, started going to the gym and eating better.

I’m looking for anyone who’s been through the same thing, I just hope I can get my chance again. Please no negativity I already feel bad enough

I am in a similar position. I had a termination end of last year that I deepy regret. I have not started to ttc yet, but am hoping to in the future. It can take a 6 months to a year to conceive on average, so 4/5 months is still really early on. Dont stress over it too much and take care of your body, I’m sure it will happen for you. Sending you well wishes 💕

I’m sorry you’ve been through such a tough time, OP.

Abortion does not stop future pregnancies, in the same way as a miscarriage doesn’t. And it’s definitely not some kind of punishment because you have done absolutely nothing wrong.

Sending you lots of love, OP. You did what you needed to do and that is grand.

I had a termination about 13 years ago and had my son two years ago with no issues. Trying for #2 now.

As PP have said it can just take time, if you are really worried some of the private scan clinics offer fertility checks, it could put your mind at ease but I would really just give it time.

Wishing you lots of luck x

Op if you’re in a loving relationship but it’s only a year on maybe slow down and take a bit of time , you’ve been through a lot. I definitely agree that the difficulty isn’t to do with everything else x
