Can anyone remember what they ask at booking appointment about your partner's side, health wise? My booking appointment was supposed to be today and my partner was there too, but they forgot about me and I've had to phone and rearrange it but he now can't make it. Just want to make sure I have all the relevant info to hand

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My partner didnt come to mine or any midwife appointments, seemed pointless, it’s only if there’s known illness that is hereditary.

I had mine in Feb, they were very generic questions.. I think she whizzed through them in a minute. Questions that you would know about your partner like, any heart disease, diabetes etc....

For both parents we ask about inherited issues like CF or thalassaemia, learning or physical disabilities, deafness and hip problems in infancy. And for the mother’s side: mental health problems esp psychosis, diabetes, pre eclampsia and thrombosis (in addition to her own medical history of course). Parents, children and siblings in particular, don’t need to know about cousins except in a few circumstances.

They didnt ask anything about partner other than if he drinks or smokes.

Mine hasnt come to either of my booking appointments. Asked name, age, job, smoker status, alcohol intake, and about hereditary conditions. You can always say not sure, it's not the end of the world.

They asked his ethnicity, if we’re blood related (hopefully you know that), any hereditary conditions, any babies born on his side of the family with hip conditions, whether he smokes.
