Ovulation tests

Trying for a baby -
ovulation tests : strip tests give me a positive and digital is negative so confused as to when I’m ovulating
I use the flo app which suggest I should ovulate in 5 days, I had a positive strip test yesterday but a negative digital.

also what did people do to prepare for conceiving - supplements / vitamins etc ?

im also 40 plus 1 so I know it won’t happen as quick as my last pregnancy at 30

I never got on with urine OPK's. Blood tests showed I do ovulate, but I never seemed to get positives on the strips. I bought a reusable, saliva OPK abroad. My UK friends had never heard of them, but you can buy them online. Mine is called 'Maybe baby' but there will be other brands. Maybe give that a try.
