Mifepristone regret

Positive stories needed please and no judgement, this is hard enough!

I took mifepristone 72 hours ago, I was scared, overwhelmed and as soon as I took it I immediately regretted it. I rang my abortion provider and they said not to carry on, I’ve done a lot of googling and nothing seems to be clear. I’m just wanting positive stories (because I have seen them, albeit, sparsely) of women who have gone on to having healthy pregnancies after taking mifepristone!

to add - it has been 72 hours, I’ve had no pain or bleeding, just once when I wiped and it was brown blood. A few niggling pains but nothing major!

I think you can get Progesterone prescribed which gives you a much higher rate of keeping the pregnancy but l don't know a lot about it . Good luck @mumofthreelittleones.

Hi OP. I took mifepristone 3 years ago. Like you I panicked and I didn't continue with the second tablet. I was almost 10 weeks when I took it. I more or less took to my bed for 3 days and didn't dare move. I had no cramping or bleeding. I was monitored more during my pregnancy and was sent for more growth scans. My doctor said she had experienced other women during her time who had been in the same situation and all their babies were born with no issues. My pregnancy continued, I had no issues during my pregnancy or at birth. My DS is 3 now and is a perfectly healthy boy and has had no milestone issues. I dont know if I have just been incredibly lucky. I remember looking up research papers online during my pregnancy - theres one by the royal college of obstetricians and gynaecologists that was very reassuring. I've tried to find it again but no luck - but it basically said that if nothing has happend by 72 hours then nothing will. I hope this helps and wish you the best
