Dating scan appointment letter

I was just wondering if anyone booked at RBH in recent months could share when they got their dating scan appointment? I was told to ring if I hadn't heard by 13 weeks. Just wondering if this is actually common. I'm a bit anxious about being given a short-notice appointment as I have an older child whom I obviously can't bring to a scan.

I'd ring before as the letters are slow to arrive after the appointment has been made. Plus mine was done at 13+5 on a Friday and they lost the bloods and then it was too late to do the testing for Down Syndrome etc as you have to do it before 14 weeks. Shambles.
