how many months/weeks?

I'm 24 weeks... so, using my knowledge of basic math, I think 24 weeks divided by 4 weeks per month = 6 months. But then with that logic, 40 weeks = 10 months and pregnancy is supposed to be 9 months. Maybe the first month doesn't count? So when people ask me how many months are you? What do I say?

26 weeks = 6 months

Not all months are 4 weeks so in pregnancy it doesn't add up right! 6 months is actually 26 weeks.

If strangers asked me how many months I was I gave them an approximation, eg at 24 weeks I would have said either nearly 6 months, or told them when I was due.

pregnancy isn't supposed to be nine months, it's nine and a bit months because each month is approx 30 days, which is over 4weeks.

So each 'month' is 4.5 weeks, roughly.

Thanks! Glad to hear that others have had the same question. Knickersonmahead, I usually say that... "i'm 24 weeks", then the person asking says "so how many months is that?" I want to say "figure it out yourself" ha!
