Nearly five weeks pregnant and no symptoms yet?

I'm looking for reassurance, if that's okay. It's my first time being pregnant!
I'm coming to the end of week 4 and I hardly have any symptoms. I have twinges but I've been having them since I started taking Cylogest ( I take them 2 times a day because we are doing IVF).
I have zero symptoms that I can pin on being pregnant. I've stopped testing now because every one was positive so it was becoming pointless 😂

Our scan isn't until 21st May but every day I wake up thinking that today will be the day I feel queasy or get sore boobs or SOMETHING. Should I just enjoy the quiet?

Enjoy the quiet. My morning sickness kicked in at six weeks but up to that I didn't feel pregnant.

Congratulations by the way!

My first 2 babies I was just pregnant, no other symptoms all the way through just got rounder ! Babies 3 and 4 were a different ball game, icky, swollen feet tired. But honey babies 1 and 2 my doctor told me I was at my most healthy by blood pressure actually stabilised and was good, I worked up until the day I gave birth with baby 2 and week before with baby 1 ( both a little early) my mum was horrified because I still wore my heels.

not every pregnancy has loads of symptoms, and everyone is different

BudgetBuster · 08/05/2026 08:46

2024 Pregancy: my only symptoms was bloating from the cyclogest. No symptoms until 2nd or 3rd trimester when I had PGP

2026 pregnancy: v+d, nausea, could hardly eat from weeks 5-9ish and then again from week 16 onwards.

Not everyone gets sick. Every pregnancy is different.

There was a time when you couldn’t confirm you were pregnant before you were three months. You have another 8 months to go. give it time.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 08/05/2026 09:25

First pregnancy, week 5 - I commented that I didn’t feel any different, not sick etc
Week 7- hospitalised with hyperemisis, I was in & out for 8 weeks.

Second pregnancy - kept my mouth shut. Except to be sick.

It may well still come!

@D842AFR congratulations! I only had symptoms from 6weeks

PurpleTurtleMoose · 08/05/2026 10:55

I didn't get symptoms until about 7 weeks, at which point I got bad morning sickness. I never got sore boobs, so definitely every pregnancy is different. I didn't even know I was pregnant until about 6 weeks, and think it's super normal not to have symptoms yet.

D842AFR · 08/05/2026 13:19

Thankyou all. It's been super helpful 🩷

4 weeks isn’t yet to the date of LMP I think? In which case I felt nothing out of normal range, just felt like my period was due.

FinallyMovingHouse · 08/05/2026 13:23

I had no symptoms at 5 weeks. 7 weeks exactly and the nausea started...and then I wished I was back at 5 weeks ago. Congratulations!

Echobelly · 08/05/2026 13:25

Mazel tov! It's entirely possible not to have symptoms... I really could barely tell I was pregnant for about the first 12 weeks first time around. Felt absolutely fine, I had maybe the faintest twinge of nausea mid morning weeks 6-12 (but both times round, vomited massively exactly once at the start of 2nd trimester, which I think is when the placenta kicks in). 2nd time around I was exhausted weeks 4-8, but first time round nothing at all before 6 weeks.

LassiKopiano24 · 08/05/2026 13:26

I had no symptoms in my first pregnancy, in fact I was a glowing goddess😂

Second pregnancy from about 4 weeks till the end I was sick all day everyday, got acne, restless legs and was generally a swamp monster.

Don't worry OP its normal x

Latenightreader · 08/05/2026 13:30

The only pregnancy symptom I had was waking in the night needing to pee, and then only once per night! I had no sickness unless I lay on my back (from about 20 weeks). Boobs started to grow about four months in and I went from a B to an E which was quite the experience. I didn't have weird cravings either, which was a bit disappointing!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. May it all go smoothly and stay sickness free!

SunshineRose12 · 08/05/2026 15:16

I could have written your post. Was worried about having no symptoms at week 5. Week 6 the nausea hit me like a bus! Currently almost 8 weeks and struggling with exhaustion & sickness. Try to enjoy having no symptoms (easier said then done, I know!) x

cheddarcheeseontoast · 08/05/2026 15:18

I was glowing at 5 weeks on all my pregnancies. 6 weeks came and my head was in the toilet. Enjoy the quiet!
