9 weeks - test line gone lighter

I have one pregnancy test left over so I decided to just use it up this morning (9+2). The last test I did was 2-3 weeks ago and the test line was as dark, if not darker than the control line. In fact all the tests I did early on were similar.

Now the one I've done this morning the test line is quite light compared to the control line. Has anyone ever had this before and things been okay? I wish I'd never done it now because I've just worried myself. I have a private scan next week but yeah :(

It's called the hook effect - your hcg is so high at this point, the tests get lighter. Not to worry ☺️

tests aren't really designed to be used at that stage of pregnancy. as long as you don't have bleeding or pain, you have to assume all fine!

Your HCG is too high now so pregnancy tests can't read them properly. Nothing to worry about.

Thanks everyone. I went and bought another test (they didn't have the same brand unfortunately) and I diluted my urine and the test line still wasn't as strong as the control line, but was much darker than in this photo. Got a pack of the same brand arriving today so I'll check with them as that's a more even comparison
