Early scan at 5 to 6 weeks with no heartbeat yet

Hi 👋 Hope you’re all doing well.

I’d like to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

I had a silent miscarriage in December 2025 at 11 weeks.

Last week, I found out I’m pregnant again and went to the EGU today for a transvaginal ultrasound.

They told me there is a pregnancy developing at around 5–6 weeks. They could only see the gestational sac and yolk sac, but not the baby yet, so no heartbeat was detected. I’ve been asked to come back in two weeks for another scan.

I’m praying and trying to stay strong, but I’m feeling 50/50 at the moment.

Same thing happened to me OP, went back 2 weeks later & there baby was, heartbeat & all. Don’t lose hope, it’s very normal at this stage with early scans🤞🏼

I’m sorry about your loss. I had an early scan at 6+5 after a previous miscarriage, it took a while to spot the heartbeat. Got my fingers crossed you’re just a little too soon to see one yet xx
