Why are my pregnancy test lines looking incomplete after strong positives?

anyone know why my tests are starting to look a bit squiggly like the line is not forming all the way through the test ?? I am 5 weeks and 3 days today and I know I should stop testing I’ve already had my 3+ before I was 5 weeks I’ve had done so many tests and literally last night I had full clear dye stealers but from this morning all the test lines are looking like this? I have also used different types of clear blue and a couple others as I panicked but all them are so dark and clear I just don’t get why it’s not a full line ??

What are you on about? That's an incredibly strong positive?

FeelingSadToday1 · 30/04/2026 20:02

OP, put the tests down and step away.

I mean the test line is starting out super strong to begin with and then getting lighter as it goes on. This is a comparison top test is from a day or two ago , and bottom one is tonight.

Op you are worrying about nothing here. Walk away from the pee sticks

Luna2711 · 30/04/2026 20:14

Can you see what I mean tho ?

I think the top test is more sensitive. The top one is an early detection test? ...so the line will be stronger on that.

You do need to stop testing though 🙂

Oh OP 😔 your anxiety is not healthy. Step away from the tests now.
Also - they are two different tests anyway. They’re never going to look identical.

Luna2711 · 30/04/2026 20:18

Yeah you’re right it could actually be that. I know I do 100% need to stop I’m just so anxious it took me over 2 years to get pregnant and the wait until I can book in for a private scan feels like forever 😴. When I look at the first pic I uploaded it looks a bit blurry on here so not sure if you can actually see what I mean by the original post , being that the line on the cross test starts off being really strong, and fades and becomes uneven as it continues to go along ?? I took one of the same ones as in the pic the early detection one too as well as I panicked and it were same , still super dark and clear but the test was uneven again.

I do suffer from health anxiety 🥲

Aren’t you meant to stop looking at them after a certain time

Luna2711 · 30/04/2026 20:21

Yeah and I do , I just kept that one from the other day as it was super dark

I double checked. The sensitivity of the top one is 10Miu/Ml Hcg and the sensitivity of the bottom one is 25Miu/Ml HCG which means the top one can detect pregnancy hormones at lower levels.

I can see what you mean about the line, but you don't know if there's different amounts of dye or the urnine hasn't travelled evenly across the rest strip...it could be anything really. It's probably the different sensitivity thing too.

Basically they're looking good 🙂 sorry to hear about your anxiety. Testing loads won't be helping.

wiwaprwfimh70 · 30/04/2026 20:26

Seriously step away from the tests!!

Matildahoney · 30/04/2026 20:26

Stop testing, you are told to do a pregnancy test 3 weeks after a miscarriage, that's how long the hormones stay in the body, repeated testing tells you nothing.
