What can I take for cold and sore throat?

Battling a horrendous cold - can I take Halls lozenges? I’m 18 weeks pregnant and I’ve been told I can’t have them?😭

I made the mistake of having a lemsip when 8 weeks pregnant as I didn't realise I couldn't have it. IIRC you can basically only have hot honey and lemon and paracetamol. It sucks I'm sorry. If you can face it any kind of brothy soup is really good. Something like chicken ramen soup maybe?

My youngest child is 14, but when I was pg you could have Lockets (something in the back of my mind thinks you might but be able to anymore) and straightforward honey/lemon/glycerine medicine, and paracetamol.

I didn’t know I couldn’t have them and I’ve already had 6😭🤦‍♀️ I’ve binned them now such a shame as they were actually helping my throat smh!
