Seven weeks pregnant with severe dizziness and palpitations, should I see GP?

Currently 7 weeks.

First Baby.

No morning sickness although have felt a bit sick and a few dry heaves.

What I do have though is almost debilitating vertigo. I’m so so dizzy even when sitting or lying down. Sunday I could barely get out of bed all day for fear of fainting.

I’m also experiencing heart palpitations which are unsettling.

Is this something I should see my GP about or will I be fobbed off because I am pregnant and should expect to feel like shit?

Yes. I would go to A&E , you will not be fobbed off

I am not a doctor obv, you can call 111 for proper advice? but with palpitations and such severe dizziness I would seek urgent medical attention.

I took myself to a&e in a less serious state - with palpitations, but no dizziness and no pregnancy - and was taken seriously and taken care of. Good luck.

Dizziness is not a good sign. Seek medical help as soon as possible.

I had this at 4 weeks 4 days.
couldnt get out of bed, the room was spinning and making me throw up everywhere.
went to the gp and I have labyrinthitis, type of vertigo.
apparently the rising hcg levels can’t effect you and cause you to have cold symptoms and can then further cause vertigo.
im 6 weeks tomorrow and only just starting to feel better. Heads still fuzzy and can’t walk in a straight line but I can leave the house now 🙈

I would second getting a quick check up. These symptoms can be normal in pregnancy.
I will say tho , I was having palpitations and actually went faint and collapsed at 22 weeks and went a&e. Other than having brain ct scans in a&e I felt like it was a wasted journey going as got completely fobbed off putting it down to "anxiety"
Im now 11 weeks and for a few weeks i had really faint spells and the odd palpitation and brought it up but they told me that can happen in the early weeks of pregnancy.

I also noticed on my baby centre app the other week it mentioned the same thing so its likely nothing to worry about but worth mentioning anyway

I had this with dd1, just low blood pressure and it passed around 8 ish weeks. I also had low iron. However we’re not medically trained op best speak to your gp id say 😊
