Should I get induced at 39 weeks my last labour bay was born 4 hours after labour started and nearly didn’t make it to hospital and scared this labour will be even faster

How far are you from the hospital? If close I'd go straight up at the first twinge. Otherwise a home birth might be good?
My first was six hours all in, my second was 40 mins.

My first labour was 2.5h from 2cm to baby arriving.
I was induced for my second at 37 weeks due to my ill health and labour was 6.5h, 18h from start of induction but only 90 minutes from having my waters broken at 5cm to baby arriving. So in some ways it was similar and other ways it was slower.

I was down to receive a back up home birth kit at 36 weeks incase the second labour was as quick as my first as I nearly didn't make it to the hospital. My first would have been born sooner had I stayed at home as I had been getting the urge to push (but hadn't recognised it as such) before I left for the hospital and the journey slowed things down again
