As the title says really, I’m 14 weeks with baby number 4 and my bump is colossal!! It’s very up high and round and I already feel uncomfortable and like I’m waddling.

I’m usually size 8 and slim and I know that I had no diastasis recti before this pregnancy. I got into fitness after baby number 1 and work out 4/5 times a week since, including right through my other pregnancies. The first trimester nausea has been horrendous this time so it’s been about 3 months since I worked out and I was living on bread but still!? What is going on, please tell me this will even out 😂 (And yes it’s not twins, I made the sonographer check lol)

You had no DR before this pregnancy - do you mean you had it in the past and sorted it with exercise? If so, it will definitely come back! If you've never had it though, it doesn't seem likely to be that.

Any fibroids? Your uterus can pop out early if so.

Other than that... your abdo muscles are stretched - sorry! Inevitable after just one baby, let alone three. Your bump won't keep getting bigger though - there is still a maximum limit 😂

I am 5 weeks pregnant with fourth baby and I look about six months. Bloating is extreme! With my third I had a full on bump at about 8/9 weeks so I figure this will be the same. Am also very active and do Pilates daily and really want to continue!

I did with third, I didn’t want to tell people until after first scan but it became very obvious around 11/12 weeks (scan was booked week after) . I put it down to age (late thirties) and my body knowing what to do.

Hi OP, I’m currently pregnant with my second and was really showing from 14 weeks too! I was very bloated and now at 18 weeks I look 7 months pregnant! Huge bump 😅 I’ve read it can start bigger but evens out later on so hoping that is the case or I’ll be struggling to move by the end. Also usually a small UK size and very petite!

@HungryHerring I’ve never had DR with any of them. Also googled fibroids and started panicking but seemingly they would have been picked up on the 12 scan? She had a good look round when I asked her if she was sure it wasn’t twins so I’d hope they would have been seen!

@Orangesaretheonly It sounds like we might just be massive with these 4th babies then 😂 hopefully it will even out, it’s just strange how high and round it is! I remember feeling big early on with number 3 (not this big and I have the pictures to prove it 🫣) but it was no bigger than my others by the end so fingers crossed the same happens!

Yes, they would usually spot fibroids at the dating scan, and definitely would if there were any large enough to cause your uterus to be higher up.
