Hi, looking for some reassurance

I’ve been testing since i was 6 days post frozen transfer and have had a line since but woke up today to test and the line is extremely faint. currently 11dp5dt. results i’ve had have been from two different tests with different sensitivity.

has anyone else had this and gone on to test day being positive?

Thank you🤍🫶🏼

They both look positive to me! Congratulations 💚

They're both positive BUT you seem to suggest the lines have got fainter? Are you comparing like for like? One steps don't get dark quickly, BUT shouldn't get visibly lighter.

HappyGreenReader · 20/04/2026 17:51

so basically i run out of the strip tests so i used a sainsburys own make one and just noticed the line was light compared to the strip test, i know you shouldn’t compare lines but the first photo was from the evening before and the sainsburys one was first morning wee..

Yes agree with above comments, that unless it was two same brand tests that have gotten lighter it’s not really a useful experiment. Brilliant that there’s a positive from frozen transfer, and sounds like it appeared at 6dp5dt. Have you had progression since then? Very best of luck.

they have gotten darker, but i shouldn’t have used a different make of test should of stuck with the same brand. i’ve also noticed that i get a better and clearer line in the evening than i do in the morning? this is my first ever positive tests and ive been doing IVF for 5 years now so very new to what you should and shouldn’t be doing as i’ve always waited till test day to test. i’m just so worried it’s gunna be a chemical miscarriage but am i putting those thoughts in my head because ive used to different tests?

Go to your doc and have an HCG test. It’s not gospel but realistically it should be over 50 and should double every 48 hours to be a viable pregnancy. It’s the only way to know. They’ll often do this for IVF mums as they understand the stress.

Congrats - you’re pregnant. Don’t get too caught up in line progression but if you do as other posters say only use same type to compare.

aw @HappyGreenReader im currently pregnant after 5 rounds of ivf and 4.5 years of trying, so I know how it feels!

someone mentioned getting an hcg blood draw above, does your clinic offer this? I don’t know the exact parameters they’d look for in a single test, but often that’s how they confirm the pregnancy. The clinic did my first then I paid for the second (two days later) as I was very anxious (one ectopic, one miscarriage im my history) and when I got the news of the second test I was able to let go of the urine tests a little (still tested up to about 20 dp though!)

but yeah, def stick to the same brand of urine tests. The reason is that different brands have different sensitivies, so if you used the same urine sample and tested with 5 different brands, some would have darker lines, some lighter. I used boots strip tests which aren’t very sensitive.

really hope things keep going your way 🌞
