Should I go to Obstetric Assessment Unit or not?

20w pregnant. Had scan showing healthy baby recently. At home on my own with autistic daughter. On medication for high blood pressure which has been keeping it stable.

Small blood clot in toilet. Just the one. No blood when I wipe. No pain other than a bit of backache. Can feel baby moving.

Do I go in for checks or not?

I would.

ChocHotolate · 18/04/2026 21:37

Have you called the triage number? Surly they will be better able to advise than randoms online?

NorthFacingGardener · 18/04/2026 21:37

Can you phone and ask for advice?

PersephoneParlormaid · 18/04/2026 21:37

Call triage/delivery suite for advice

CurlewKate · 18/04/2026 21:38

If you feel the need to ask, then the answer is yes.

PoppinjayPolly · 18/04/2026 21:39

Call and ask to be seen

101Alsatians · 18/04/2026 21:40

Call and put your mind at rest.

Catlady1991 · 19/04/2026 17:51

101Alsatians · 19/04/2026 20:30

Are u ok @carrotsandstickz ?

Nickelouch · 19/04/2026 21:25

Always yes, it’s what it’s there for and they’d always rather you went in than didn’t. Good luck.

carrotsandstickz · 20/04/2026 07:22

I got checked out. All OK.
