Hi,
I am 38+1 wks.preg.Saw midwife today & baby is 3/5ths eng. & has been for last 4 weeks.
(I know this m/w works on 2/5ths-1/5ths system,i.e 5/5ths in her eyes would be free)
So I was wondering has anyone been 3/5ths & actually gone into labour from there,or does the baby really have to move further down i.e 2/5ths before you can say labour is imminent.
I remember with prev. preg. baby was 2/5ths.eng.before I went into labour.
The main reasons I am asking this is that I have been having so many pains as if smething is going to happen & baby feels so low down I was really surprised today when m/w told me I was still 3/5ths.
Thanks.R.

was 2/5 palp with my second for 6 weeks. and had loads of twinges and false alarms, but she was not born until her due date. were your other ones early or late? engagement not that helpful as an indicator once you have had more than one baby as they can bob in and out of the pelvis and sometiems not engage at all until labour starts

My prev. preg. ds was born 36wks,ds1 was bang on due date & dd was 9 days late!
sO I suppose that means.... no way of knwing with such a mix of delivery dates LOL.
