4.5 weeks pregnant, spotting with a clot

I’m 19dpo and have been testing positive since 9dpo with stronger line each day. I was spotting from 9dpo until 15dpo when it stopped. But it’s started back up again today, dark brown and not loads but there was a small clot in it. I guess I’m just looking for some hope in all this, has anyone had this and gone on to have a healthy baby?

Tell your GP about the tests and the bleeding and clots. Just to be safe. Hope everything goes well.

@Sleepymum171288 i have spoken to my GP and the EPU and they both basically said wait and see at this stage. I’m a week further on and tests are still getting darker but I’m still bleeding and last night it was the heaviest it’s been. I’m not hopeful to be honest 😭

I had some bleeding at 10 weeks. It was after IVF and not long after I stopped taking PIO. Thankfully it stopped and my son is now 3yo. Hoping the best for you 💖

I also had bleeding throughout pregnancy, on and off, and was not offered much support beyond “just wait”. When I was less emotional about it, I was able to see that realistically that’s all that medical professionals could say.

My bleeding pregnancy is now 4 and fast asleep. My second pregnancy, who is 10 months (and who I never bled with, which I found very strange) is wide awake at 4am 🥱

@Bake thabks for the reassurance, I’m not getting my hopes up. The thing is I have miscarried before but it’s not getting heavier like I’d expected it to. I may ring the EPU again just to get it noted down. Maybe can get a scan once I’m far enough along if I make it that far!

@Conversationalcheddar i know you’re right and they can’t give an answer at this point in time. Just a long waiting game. Been pregnant so many times before and only have one living child. Just hoped we would catch a break for once!

I just thought I would update this thread incase anyone ever comes across it. The bleeding was actually a subchorionic hematoma and i saw babys heartbeat at 7 weeks. Sadly though the pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage. I had medical management yesterday :-(
