I'm 41 I use a tracker and write my symptoms down. Done a test today. BFP! I just need to talk. Even if it's about just symptoms. Attached a photo, it's positive right?

Congratulations to you too. I'm so scared right now, not even sure how I'm going to tell anyone and feel I'm too old.

Thank you. I was only a day late but with all my symptoms I just had to make sure. I'm away on holiday and had to stay home today whilst everyone went out because I felt so unwell. I grabbed a test while no one was here. And bam big surprise. Just cried, not sure what to do with it. It's a blessing of course. Thank you for your reply x

Sorry I did reply. But wasn't sure how this works. Congratulations to you, wish you all the best. Do you have more children or is this your first?

@LorrieLeighthanks! I have a dd who is 2.5. Had her when I was 39! How about you?

Sa11yCinnamon · 10/04/2026 12:26

Congratulations! I'm also 41 and 5+4. Symptom wise I'm just exhausted and occasionally queasy.

Nannyfannybanny · 10/04/2026 12:39

I had my last DD at 41, second marriage, planned,dh had none. It was my easiest pregnancy and birth! No morning sickness,(heartburn in the last trimester) I was fit healthy, I went to a works night out with dh colleagues when I was 6 months, I actually wanted to sit down, there were no seats. Other wives were trying to drag me on the dancefloor. I am a rubbish dancer. I had my oldest DDs, 50s tea dress on,had this odd conversation and they were amazed to find out I was pregnant. A lot of people asked if it was my first. Oldest DD was 21, I became a grandmother the following year. Congratulations 💐

@NewAgeDawning you babies are going to be quite close together. I have a 10 and 4 year old. I honestly didn't think this was possible at my age. And from my last child i never lost the weight, so I'm worried because I'm a bit over weight right now. The last few days I've not been wanting to eat, don't fancy nothing, just so nauseous! How have you been feeling?

@Sa11yCinnamon congratulations to you hunny. You and newagedawning are exactly the same days along. I've had a wild week with symptoms, I knew something wasn't right. I'll only be 3 days late tomorrow but the nausea is unreal. I'm away on holiday with my children and my mum but I can't bring myself to say anything. I needed to let it loose somewhere. Have you told anyone yet?

@Nannyfannybanny haha your name made me giggle.
What a lovely story and having one so close to your grandchild, that's crazy but wow, will be so nice for them to grow up together.
I just worry that I'm going to be one of the oldest mums in the playground. My youngest is starting school in September and I was worrying about that now for her haha
But I guess times are changing and it's not rare for older mums nowadays. I didn't have my first until I was 30! I have pcos and was told I would always struggle to have children. And here I am on my third!! I'm just blown away right now

I’ve told my sister and two close friends, but my in laws were staying with us over Easter and we had a big family lunch with my parents so I wouldn’t be surprised if they all guessed! Though I did have a bad cold which I think might have helped cover me 😅
