I have a holiday booked to Kos in Greece end of June. By then I will be 18 weeks pregnant.
I’m getting cold feet as I’m worried about something going wrong whilst I’m out there I’m also worried about the food.
has anyone been to Kos while pregnant?

Not Kos but I went to both Sweden and Portugal while pregnant - 4 months pregnant in Sweden and 6 months in Portugal. Food wise I would say just be extra vigilant - if you’re going all inclusive / buffet style then just take what looks the safest and cut into any pieces of meat to make sure they’re cooked. If you’re ordering in a restaurant I’d tell the waiter you’re pregnant so they can take extra care of your food.

Re anything going wrong - do you have an EHIC/GHIC card? Covers you for the same medical cover as a local would get at the same cost - so if it’s free for them it would be free for you. Also get travel insurance (I’m sure you already do) but in case you can’t go for any reason.

Have fun!

I went to Kos when I was 18 weeks . Can still remember feeling the most glorious first kick from my son whilst on a sunbed ! He is 26 and still plays rugby.

I went to Spain last time and off to Greece this time (both at about 20 weeks). Had a brilliant time in Spain and plan to do the same in Greece! Be a little careful with what you eat (but don’t forget plenty of Greek people get pregnant and eat their food without issue) and you’re more prone to burn in the sun when pregnant so extra sun cream. Otherwise hope you can relax and enjoy it - lots of awful first trimester symptoms are well gone by then so you may feel rotten now but likelihood is you’ll be feeling much better in the second trimester

I went to Mallorca when I was about 20 weeks. It was great. Had a lovely holiday exploring the island and relaxing by the pool. I avoided the food you were advised to by the NHS and it was fine. Young kids and swimming pools don't mix so holidaying with little kids while fun is definitely not relaxing. I would take the opportunity to enjoy an adult holiday while you can.
