That's fine, and pretty normal IME (both my "20 week" scans have been at 21 weeks).

Mine was 22+4 and felt like it would never come! It should be fine though - I think it's okay up to 24 weeks - plus theoretically you can see better because baby is more developed, plus when you come out feeling slightly sad because you won't see LO until it's born you don't have quite as long to wait

I think your 12 week scan can be anytime up to 14 weeks, and 20 week scan around 24 weeks- doen't sound all that logical, I know. My 20 week scan will be nearer 22 weeks next week.

Just had mine at 21+5 without any problems. Agree with Anglepoise about not having as long to wait.

The standard practice at my local hospital is 22-23 weeks, so by that measure you're getting in early!!!

I had to delay mine from 21 weeks to a bit over 23 weeks - it makes seeing some things more difficult so they had to check that the experienced sonographer was around and willing to do it, as they usually said 23 weeks was the absolute latest.

It did take longer but part of that I think was I'd missed any screening tests, so they were checking heart valves etc, and could reassure me that there's no sign of Downs - although only 50% of cases would be apparent, typical complications would be visible and there aren't any of them.
