Hi girls! I saw an ivf pregnancy thread on here and looked so lovely all the women chatting about giving birth around the same time etc. so thought it might be nice to start another one for those of us due later on in the year!

Me = 33yo, from Yorkshire, unexplained infertility, no children yet, first ivf round, first transfer ended in early miscarriage (around 6 weeks), on my second (and last) embryo which was a day 6 5Bb given an IDAScore (AI success rating) of just 2.70! Currently 11+4 and due October 18th 🤞🏼♥️

Great idea!

I’m late 30s, based in London and first pregnancy from first round of IVF after a stressful journey including lots of surgery etc. Ten weeks tomorrow and due 30th October 🤞 🙏 ❤️

How are you feeling?

I feel exhausted from the stress of IVF and now stress of early pregnancy- really can’t wait to be able to feel a little more relaxed when passed the first trimester, fingers crossed.

GamerGirl09 · 02/04/2026 14:54

@CannaeBelieveIt Lovely to meet you! Awh sorry to hear of the surgery etc. and yep, ivf is very stressful, I call it trauma 🙈 Thankfully as I did the egg retrieval etc. last year time-wise I’m further on from the ivf process but I needed to time away from it after miscarrying to be honest. Didn’t expect this transfer to work but thankfully here we are!

Getting to 10 weeks is great!! Congrats! I’ve been calling mine a little Halloween baby but yours is very much a Halloween baby! How sweet!! Have you had any scans yet?

I’ve been extremely anxious the whole pregnancy so far to be honest but the last week or so it’s started subsiding a little more. I’ve actually had 5 scans so far I’ve been so worried 🙈 mostly due to miscarrying last time. But THANKFULLY all has been on track at each scan (except the very first but it was so small the margin of error is higher). That’s been the ‘worst’ symptom - the anxiety. Other than that I’ve got sore boobs, I’m tired ALL THE TIME, I’m hungry ALL THE TIME, and when I’m hungry I feel sick. Grateful for all the symptoms though 🤣 I’m getting bigger but that could definitely be down to eating so much 🤣 Same as you though, hoping the anxiety subsides more if/when get past the first trimester xx

I completely understand needing a break after egg retrieval etc! We had decided we would take a break if it didn’t work.

thank you re Halloween! Yes it’s funny! Midwives have said probably won’t actually arrive then but we can but hope!

I had a scan at 7 weeks because of spotting then one at 8 weeks when being discharged from ivf hospital. Have another one booked for next week at the EPU as they said with my gynae history should have extra. So I can completely understand you having had 5 already!

We had the right size and strong heartbeat at both, although second one showed a subchorionic hematoma which worried me- and is possibly causing the spotting I’ve had today (first spotting since 7 weeks so of course now feeling very worried again).

it’s so tough!

I can relate to the being tired and hungry too!

Cakewalk7 · 03/04/2026 07:12

Hi all, currently 7+3 with ivf baby. Had a scare yesterday with a big bleed and have a synchronic haematoma that is currently similar size to the sac so am a bag of nerves at the moment! Thought we had miscarried so very grateful that baby is ok though. Wishing the next few weeks would fast forward.

CannaeBelieveIt · 03/04/2026 07:55

Hi @Cakewalk7
nice to meet you. Oh my gosh that sounds stressful. You poor thing. Hope everything is ok. Everything I read keeps saying bleeding is not something to worry about but easier said than done. Have you got a scan booked?

Cakewalk7 · 03/04/2026 08:01

Yeah EPU are going to bring me back to re-scan in 2 weeks or sooner if I start bleeding again. Can remember chatting to a friend who sad she only had two scans her whole pregnancy - here I am needing 3 before even got to the regular scheduled ones 😂 can’t believe I thought ivf was the traumatic bit! Hope you’re both doing ok x

CannaeBelieveIt · 03/04/2026 08:12

That’s good EPU are taking good care of you with another scan booked. I can’t wait for my follow up EPU one on Wednesday although of course also terrified in case anything is wrong. I absolutely agree about having thought ivf was the hard part!!! It feels like such a slog. X

GamerGirl09 · 05/04/2026 22:35

@CannaeBelieveIt ahh I’ve heard subchorionic hematomas are quite common. Hopefully all absolutely fine for you and sounds like it will most likely be the cause of your spotting ♥️ did the spotting subside? Good you’re getting extra scans/care too xx

Hi @Cakewalk7 lovely to meet you! Fingers crossed all okay with your scan in a couple weeks 🤞🏼 you’ll have probably read but at 11+1 I had my fifth scan 🤣 ivf and previous loss makes pregnancy tough tough haha. Can also relate to thinking ivf would be the hard part! I’ve reached 12 weeks today and I just can’t believe it whatsoever!!!!

Hello, how are you all doing?

@GamerGirl09how far along are you now? You must be at the end of first trimester by now- very exciting!

I ended up having to go for a scan after checking in with my midwives about the spotting (and a UTI- delightful!), but thankfully all was fine. We were actually away visiting family in Ireland so we had to negotiate a different health system but everyone was so kind and friendly, it was actually great and not as stressful as I thought it would be!

It is exhausting though - the physical side and also the worrying!

GamerGirl09 · 06/04/2026 14:34

@CannaeBelieveIt that’s great all was well on the scan!!!!! But spotting still and uti 😫 how awful for you I’m sorry ♥️ oh it’s definitely physically and mentally exhausting, hoping the physical side will ease off soon. Don’t think any of us will stop worrying though til we have babe in our arms! Then a new kind of worrying will begin!! 🤣🤣

im 12+1 today 🥹 actually can’t believe I’ve got this far it’s crazy. I have my first nhs scan on Friday (so will be 12+5) 😬😬😬 we also did NIPT testing last week so waiting on those blood results too xx

OP posts:
CannaeBelieveIt · 06/04/2026 19:49

Thank you @GamerGirl09
It was only a tiny bit of spotting both this time and at 7 weeks (not for days or lots) - but you can’t help but panic. That’s wonderful you’re 12 weeks now! So exciting.

Oh wow, the NIPT test. I have barely researched this far as really wasn’t counting on the ivf working and everything has felt manic since. I have a blood test next week, presumably that’s for the NIPT amongst other things.
A friend recommended the book Expecting Better so I’ve been reading that- only first trimester so far!

I have a vague list of things I want to do at 12 weeks - telling a few more people, going to pregnancy yoga and maybe booking antenatal classes. And probably more that I’ve forgotten! xx

ThatPinkRaven · 08/04/2026 18:33

hi everyone.

Im also due 18th October, this was our first transfer and our only embryo that passed the genetic testing so feeling super grateful. We had our 12 week scan today, so it’s finally feeling real! I was convinced there would be a problem but everything was perfect 🥺.

hope everyone is doing ok on this wild journey!

Cakewalk7 · 09/04/2026 14:23

Congratulations on the 12 week scan! I know what you mean about the panic that something is wrong. Do you feel better now you’ve hit the 12 week mark?

quietblossom · 10/04/2026 17:21

Hi! Can I join?
currently 10+5, expecting identitical twins after a single embryo transfer
i have a 7 year old, had several rounds of IVF prior to this, and just turned 40 (a few days after my positive test!). Due Nov 2nd, but with twins will give birth in early October (if not before)
❤️‍🩹

Thank you!

feeling much better than we were, I think I will be apprehensive the whole way through, but trying my best to enjoy it as it will likely be our only pregnancy.

How is everyone doing?

GamerGirl09 · 11/04/2026 20:35

Welcome @quietblossom and congratulations that’s amazing news!

Hope everything’s going well for you @CannaeBelieveItand hope uti cleared up and no more spotting ♥️

@ThatPinkRavenHello due date twin! Congratulations on jacking a good 12 week scan ♥️

I’m 12+6 today, had my 12 week scan yesterday and they said my bladder wasn’t full enough (I had 5 private scans before this and never had a problem, in fact, my bladder looked to be the bloody star of the show on my last private scan!!!) and baby wasn’t in a good enough position for them to do the NT measurement 🙃 so they gave it up as a bad job which is lovely 🙃 THANKFULLY though we did an NIPT test last week which is more accurate than NHS combined test and that came back ‘very low risk‘ for the main 3 trisomies ♥️ so grateful we did that and had that result before we went for the NHS scan 🙌🏻 We also found out through NIPT that I’m growing little baby girl 🥹 I always saw myself as a boy mum and have 3 (soon to be 4) nephews, no nieces! But obviously with it being IVF not precious at all and would just love for baby to be healthy. Still feels just unreal though!!

Hope everyone is doing well! Xx

Oh wow @GamerGirl09congratulations! So exciting you’ve found out you’re having a girl. I didn’t know you could find out so early!! Did you have the NIPT test done privately? I’m getting so confused googling things between uk and American/elsewhere information.

well done @ThatPinkRaven!

and welcome @quietblossomwow twins! Congratulations!

I’m doing better thanks @GamerGirl09no more spotting although local EPU said just to go in if there is any more, anytime up to 13 weeks- which doesn’t feel that far away now actually!
