Hi all,

We have been ttc for coming up to 3 years now this July. We have had two previous loses both in 2024. Started undergoing testing in 2025 as wasnt able to then concieve for 1 year 5 months everything came back normal.

I have now had a positive pregnancy test last Monday at 3 weeks 6 days and today I am 4.5 weeks pregnant as i was having exterme symptoms which ive not had before.

My first chemical was at 4 weeks 2 days and second was 4 weeks 6 days. I am a bag of nerves and just dont know how ill get through the weeks. Both of my previous chemicals i did not get symtoms like nausea etc but did get some like sore breasts etc.

Very different syntoms this time from first two times I feel so sick, very sensitive boobs and some cramping on and off. Then ill worry as a day with no symtoms at all minus the odd one. I am on progesterone pessaries this time around.

If anyone has any tips or advise on how to manage this tricky waiting period. I know what will be will be but im really struggling to cope 😪

Hello, didn’t want to read & run.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I find the mindset that you’re pregnant and will be until you have other information really helpful.

Today you are pregnant so how will you enjoy that? Some positive activities might help - journaling, clearing out some space / drawers in anticipation, making a memory box with test, some thoughts, card to the baby?

Accepting today for what it is - that’s how we get through things. I hope you find something to enjoy today.

Distraction, distraction, distraction. Find lots to do to try and not overthink it. I find this helps the most. If I don’t have much to do I will focus on every little thing and drive myself mad.

Bless you , im not sure i can offer advice. Ive been a struggling mess.
Ive had 6 pregnancies and only 1 birth. My loses were all between 4-6 weeks.
Im now pregnant again and was convinced it wouldn't progressed but 🤞all seems to be ok so far, although still early at 7 weeks. Because of my loses epu offered me a scan at 6 weeks and we had a little flicker of heartbeat.
Could you ask them if they would offer you an early scan?

Hi OP,

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm about 4.5 weeks too ❤️.

Ive not had a losses before but we've been trying for about 7 cycles so feeling very grateful to be pregnant. I can imagine you are feeling so worried but agree the best thing you do is relax and feel positive. 🤍

Love the suggestion from the first poster about a memory box with the test etc! I also did a bit of clearing out of old clothes today.
