Brown discharge at 6 weeks pregnant: anyone else experienced this?

Hey has anyone experienced brown discharge when 6 weeks pregnant? X x

Yes I had a tiny bit of red bleeding and then brown discharge at 6 weeks. Had a scan and all was well, no reason identified.

Yes. It turned out ok for me but I had bleeding throughout the first/second trimester as I had a hematoma. Have you registered for midwife care and can you try to get referred to your local EPU?

Do a search for an EPAU locally to you, see if you can self refer.

It’s too soon for midwife, they won’t be interested at 6 weeks, there’s nothing they can do or offer.

You might need to wait until Monday for a GP appointment and take it from there.
In the mean time if the bleeding gets heavy and pain unmanageable, go to A&E.

Hopefully though, it will settle down and all will be well.

Yes & it turned out well.... But go to your midwife. Don't leave it to chance

I had this on all 4 pregnancies , I was told it was an implantation bleed and not to worry …. Of course we’re going to worry ! , try to rest up and put your feet up , get checked when you can , sending positive vibes x

I had a small bleed at 10 weeks and brown spotting at 14 weeks. All fine.

Oki. Mine is just brown. Only a little bit when I wipe. My mate who's a nurse said it common and it's old blood x x

Yep i will ring my doctors monday but I've been talking to my mate who's a nurse and she said its common and it's old blood. Ive done another pregnancy test and it's still very strong and ive still got pregnancy symptoms. Ive got no pains just brown discharge when I wipe. X x

Yes I had it. All was fine, although I was about to fly so saw a GP who said I was miscarrying and should take a paracetamol… very unsympathetic, and wrong !

I had some spotting with one of mine and some period like cramps which were very mild, presumably implantation bleeding. With my second I did have some bleeding around 7 weeks and the midwife got me a early scan. If worried get in touch with your midwife. X

Oki. Oh no. I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks may 2024 and it was bright red blood with pains. Ive got no pains and pregnancy tests are still very strong and ive still got pregnancy symptoms. Hopefully its just old blood. I will ring my doctors monday x x
