Hey @Judgejudysno1fan nice idea, I'm due 7th May! What number DC is this for you? This is my third, I have DS1 (4) and DS2 (17 months), awaiting DD1!
In answer to your Qs, I feel very unorganised and have nothing "ready" yet, although most stuff in the loft waiting to be retrieved 🤣 I'm on mat leave now so planning to get things a bit more sorted over the next couple of weeks. I'm pretty knackered with DSs on top of pregnancy but they're at nursery 3 days a week so will make the most of quiet time then. Birth plan wise, I may have to be induced around 40 weeks as I'm 41, but other than that will have my trusty tens machine on hand and hoping for the best with whatever happens.
How about you?! Your questions back at you!

Judgejudysno1fan · 28/03/2026 08:28

This is baby number 7!!!! Love having a big family. Its our last one however. This has been a difficult pregnancy as I near 40 and its just been horrible but all worth it in the end!!!!

Birth plan, I would have liked to have had a water birth but because I had a c-section last time they said no. I had a water birth before with number 3 and it was lovely and definitely great for pushing in. It was also very calm and I felt weightless in the birthing pool.

I tried to organise a pile of newborn and 0-3 yesterday and then realised im still short on a few things so will go through the storage units and rummage to find some more bits for little madam. I want to pack my hospital bag before the easter holidays finishes.
Need to buy a load of black pants and large sanitary pads as well.

Just feeling very tired today. A lot of pressure on my lower tummy and top of the thighs. Sigh!

Hey! I am 35 weeks with my first after IVF and am having a c-section on 29 April if all goes to plan. I am packing my hospital bag atm (attempting to be organised with ziplock bags so my husband can find things easily) and need to get going with the washing. But getting there I think! Excited to meet her and also not be pregnant anymore 😅

Wow amazing. That's the same day as daughter number 2s birthday!!!! Wish you all the best for your csection..... may I please ask the reason behind having the planned c-section?

@Judgejudysno1fan Lots of reasons I guess but best summed up by I just want one 🤷‍♀️. Or you know… out of the options given she has to come out somehow!

@Judgejudysno1fan Right back at you! Hope you get the birth you want 💕

How are you ladies doing? I'm 36 weeks tomorrow and I'm feeling floored with exhaustion with my 2 DSs. Their nursery is closed this week so took them to soft play this morning (they're like dogs, they need to be exercised! 😃) and I'm now lying on the sofa half asleep while DS1 watches too much TV and DS2 naps. I feel like I'll be less exhausted once DD actually arrives!! I've got growth scan tomorrow, will be nice to see babe then (and escape the house for a bit!).

Good luck for your growth scan.
Im having those regularly myself as baby is measuring small. If she hasn't grown much, theyre inducing me next week a few days after the scan. At 37w. If shes grown well, they will induce me at 39w.im hoping for 39w.

@Hopingrae Hope your scan goes well today! I had hopefully my last one yesterday (have been having them regularly due to ivf). Gosh I can only imagine the exhaustion with two sons already! Sounds like you are doing brilliantly though… nearly there! I am 37 weeks tomorrow and have a c-section booked for 39+5. Day of laundry and folding away cute baby clothes and about a million muslins for me today!

I need to sort small/tiny baby clothes as well another thing on the list too, incase the growth scans are right. Im looking at vinted for Tiny baby and premature baby clothing. Just in case.

All good with growth scan! It took all of 5 minutes, if that. I didn't really see much other than brain and a leg! But good to know she's tracking ok. I had a random panic about going to hospital with no snacks last week so I did big online order of hospital bag provisions... but I've shoved it in a cupboard and not done anything with it yet. My husband thinks she'll come early but I'm not convinced. DS1 was 9 days late and DS2 was 8 days early so could go either way!
@magpie234 Vinted is a great idea, I get most of my boys' stuff from there.

Judgejudysno1fan · 09/04/2026 14:59

Glad to hear your growth scan went well. My final one is next week and im so nervous!!!! Because that will decide if I will have the baby a few days later at 37w on the dot, or two weeks later at 39 weeks. I want her to "cook more" so hoping it's going to be at 39w.

@Judgejudysno1fan Our baby had reduced growth velocity on one scan so I had the same worry but at the next one she had picked back up again. So hopefully it will be the same for you! I think often the measurements are quite inaccurate especially if different sonographers are doing them (I have never had the same one twice!). Hope she keeps on cooking!

Clover96 · 09/04/2026 22:45

Hope it's okay to pop in and say hello! 🥰 I'm due May 6th with my first, it's definitely all starting to feel very real now.

How are you feeling? Hospital bag packed? Waddling around the house trying to get everything finalised?

Yes, I was discussing this with my husband, and said it can be either way, growth scans are not 100 percent accurate to the number.

I have terrrrrible pelvic pain today. 37 weeks on the dot. Feels like a giant melon is trying to push itself out and am getting regular shooting stabbing pains down below. So achey and hard to even move around the house so am having to rest on my side a lot. Definitely feels like the final few miles of the marathon are upon me! Hope everyone else is holding up OK.

Wow, sounds like you could be close!!!!

I have a lot of pressure on top of thighs and I am getting stronger braxton hicks all the time..my midwife said thats because you have had 6 children your braxton hicks will get more stronger as your uterus works harder.

@Judgejudysno1fan I have a c-section booked for 39+5 so I sincerely hope I am not…! Not getting BH though think I was a couple of weeks ago. Just increased pelvic pressure. Google tells me is normal for this point so fingers crossed!

Thank you!

Struggling a bit now with basic day to day & don't have much energy but just feeling really excited above anything else 🥰 I've been in the process of finalising the hospital bags for the past 4 hours, I made a coffee to sit down and do them but have ended up on the chair like a beached whale watching films instead 😂 Determined to get them done tonight though.
