I went into hospital last week (first time ever as I've been midwife led throughout) to discuss my homebirth assessment with the consultant. They did the usual BP, bloods and urine test there. BP was 157/98 and I had protein in my urine so they did a blood test which I was told showed I didn't have pre e so I was sent home. Keeping in mind I only had my midwife appointment the day previously and everything was fine. For the past week I've been getting protein in my urine in the 1+ range on the dip tests and I've started getting floating circles in my vision. I called triage and they said to wait until my midwife appointment tomorrow as my blood test came back clear so it couldn't be pre e, which I understand isn't always the case. I'm also getting extremely high levels of leukocytes and nitrates. Would I be ok to just turn up at the hospital or will I be turned away? Surely they can't just turn me away if I'm showing classic signs of pre e but then again I had a scare with my last pregnancy which ended up with an emergency induction at 37 weeks purely because my BP was slightly elevated the one time.
