Has anyone been transferred from one team of community midwives to another?

I want a homebirth - or rather a waterbirth. My midwife says no one on her team does them and so I would have to transfer onto the care of another midwife in a different team in order to, hopefully, go thru with this.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind being transferred onto some one else's care as I would rather have someone who was enthusiastic about her job looking after me. I have found her only willing to listen and seem happy as long as I agree with her and ask no questions.

I didn't know you were pregnant! Congratulations. When is your due date?

Two or three weeks before me. I'm also planning a home birth, possibly a water birth. I would only be happy with a home birth as long as I felt very confident with the midwives, so hopefully the other group of midwives will be more enthousiastic for you.

Meant to add that i didn't know that you were pg too. congratulations!

you are right. it is slowly eating away at me inside.

I phoned up someone in the local nct today and hopefully this will help me get the ball rolling. She said the best thing is to arm myself with information so that whatever happens, I will be able to have more control over what eventually happens.

Feel like I am leaving it late now but nothing like a bit of pressure to kick my arse and get cracking.
