Private maternity hospital recommendations in Manchester or London for overseas resident

My DIL is not a UK citizen yet, but my ds wants his children to be born in the UK. They are both currently living and working abroad but their intention is to return to the UK to bring up any children.

Dil is currently three months pregnant after IVF, and will be staying in the UK for the final months of her pregnancy. Looking for recommendations for a suitable private hospital in Manchester or London area for her, when she arrives in the UK.

TIA.

My DHs boss was very keen on the Lindo wing at St Mary's.

Does your DS know how much this will cost?

Lindo Wing is where the royal family go. William and Harry were born there I think.

Portland Hosptial obviously (The Beckham children?)

St Johns & St Lizzie's is slightly more relaxed and boho.

Don't know about Manchester

St John's no longer offer obstetrics

I’m not sure there are full private hospitals in Manchester for maternity but there is a private wing on the main nhs hospital.

DS & DIL are aware of private costs and are both high earners.

Liverpool is also an option, so any recommendations in that area would work too.

It’s best to choose the private wing/option at an NHS hospital as private hospitals don’t have SCBU or NICU for emergencies and will blue light to closest NHS hospital with those facilities. So go private at Guys and St Thomas (Westminster Suite) or Chelsea and Westminster (Kensington Wing) or Lindo Wing at St Mary’s (which is an NHS hospital).

There are no private maternity hospitals outside London for birth.

This isn’t true

In London, Paddington Lindo wing, and Chelsea and Westminster have a private wing. I wouldn’t go anywhere that doesn’t have a large NHS A&E attached. Literally saved a friend’s life when she started haemorrhaging. She started private in the lindo ended up on NHS ward but life saved

Thanks for all replies; I've passed them to DS.
