Cerclage removal - recovery experiences?

I had my preventative shirodkar stitch removed last Tuesday, it was fairly quick and uncomplicated although it painful as hell.
Just wanted to know people experience with recovery? Immediately after I obv felt sore in the cervix area but now randomly I am feeling what I can only describe as a pulled muscle feeling in the clitoris area rather than in the cervix. Baffled as to what this could be, there is a lot of pressure from baby being down low but i'm not sure if thats what it is or if it could be cerclage related?

Hey op, congrats on making it to cerclage removal safely! It seems most common cerclage here is Macdonald, I tried to get shridokar as macdonald not possible but it was a clinic in London that were going to try it (I’m in Scotland). Anyway, I just mean that you might not get a whole load of experiences, but I’ve found the short cervix support sub on Reddit a very large collection of experiences, maybe try over there too. And of course ask your consultant.

Ive been told that random sudden pain in the crotch can be from baby pressing on cervix and the nerves there, so maybe a bit of that and a bit of recovery on the cervix itself? Was the pressure there before removal?

Hi!
Thank you I've just posted there😊 I definitely had the feeling of pressure even before cerclage removal as baby is head down but this weird pulled muscle feeling in the clitoris region only started a few days after removal. Its so strange because it very much feels like a exterior pain

I can only imagine it’s a connected nerve, but I certainly am no doc! Hope you get some answers on Reddit, and might as well give your consultant(‘s receptionist) a try! Nice to have peace of mind.

good luck with the next stages!
