Mobility issues pregnancy

I am 27 weeks pregnant and in the last month have encountered a new onset issue that is affecting my mobility and every aspect of my life.
The dr says it is costochondritis inflammation of the ribs it's horrendous nerve type pain accross my lower rib cage and sides when standing or walking for any length of time. I have powered through but each time iv been out iv been in tears and just ended up sitting on the floor wherever I am!
I am only 36 so was embarrassed to do it but i have bit the bullet and got myself a cane iv been using it more and more indoors as well as outdoors and find it really helps distribute the weight and pressure again it's embarrassing but helps. Iv now started with lower back pain (i have long standing bulging discs) which I'm not sure if this is causing the rib pain or not so iv found I'm using the cane more and more.
I wasn't sure if this was the right choice as iv had no guidance from gp and I'm waiting on physio plus it's been a rapid decline. Iv also acquired a 4 wheeled walker with a seat on today to use when I'm out and about and need to sit down suddenly however I don't think that will provide as much support as the cane.
I wondered if anyone has experienced a similar issue and has found that using aids help?
TIA
