Slow rising HCG

Hi everyone!

Anyone have any experience with slow rising hcg?

13 March: 3800
16 March: 7300
20 March: 10800
23 March: 13700

I had a scan on 20 March that showed intrauterine pregnancy with gestational and yolk sac as expected. There was slight sign of fetal pole but no heartbeat yet as I was only 5w5.

Waiting on next scan in 2 days but so nervous. I know it’s not looking good :(

Hi,

I had low hcg but didn’t reach your first level. Mine were less than 1500. Unfortunately it didn’t end well for me. Yours are much higher and I didn’t have a fetal pole. What they did say to me though is the scan trumps the hcg.

fingers crossed it all works out for you with your scan tomorrow. X

How many weeks are you by your last period? Did the 5 weeks 5 days tally up with what you expected to be?

@CrappyBottle thanks for the message. Yea it did, I was 5w5 by ovulation and about 6w1 from last period. The doctor said that had we not been monitoring HCG, we would say that was a perfect scan as expected. Sooo confusing all of this!

Do you mean you ovulated 3 days after you started your period?

@CrappyBottle no, sorry for the confusion. I mean that when I had my scan, I was 6w1 from my last period but the doctor said it would’ve been 5w5 from when I ovulated as I ovulated on day 17 of my cycle rather than day 14 which is assumed when counting from last period. Hope that’s clearer :)

Ah I get you! That makes sense.

What is the reason for the HCG tests and scans?

What is the reason for the HCG tests and scans?

@FeelingSadToday1 miscarriage history and I’m on progesterone support so Dr is doing it to avoid missing miscarriage
