Hi girls

I unfortunately suffered a MC the weekend with my HGC levels dropping by 50% from 31 Thursday
to 18 Sunday after having bled for 4 days from the Saturday before

im absolutely devastated and I took a test today which was negative but at the same time I felt relief so I can hopefully try again soon…

iv ended up taking a clear blue digital just so I can put my mind at rest and it’s still showing 1-2 weeks I know this can be normal but I was wondering has anyone had this? Or know the sentitivity of the clear blue to pick up? As the nurse told me it needs to be 25 HGC level for a positive I was also wondering how long did everyone if gone through they had to wait for a negative?

thank you girls xx

Sorry for your loss. Please do give yourself some time to grieve too.

I think CB picks up from 10? Most tests will pick up as low as 8 or 10. You could try a few days in a row of cheap tests to confirm.

I had quite a few early miscarriages and always tried again after the next cycle (so roughly ovulating 6 weeks after miscarriage). However, you technically don't need to wait. I just didn't feel up to it any sooner tbh.

@BudgetBuster thank you for your reply 🥰 I think I’m numb to grief at the moment it’s a strange feeling having a MC one min your in the clouds thinking of the future the next it’s gone within a blink it’s so cruel! I’m so sorry for you losses 🌺

im abit lost of my cycles now maybe I should wait for my next flow although we have continued to have SX since we found out we were pregnant

not feeling up to it is probs the best decision and strongest thing to do where I’m rushing to get it again and will probs stress myself out more doing this xxx

Yes so its generally recommend that you wait for next period before trying again, for a more accurate dating. But you are just as likely to ovulate after an early loss as any other cycle so it's possible to get pregnant again soon.

For me I just didn't feel like being intimate so soon after the loss hence why we waited. But yes I did feel an urgency to get pregnant again soon because I felt like "Oh now I'm X months behind" which really was not logical but you tell yourself silly things.

I remember after a 3rd loss in a row, sitting in hospital and my husband turns to me and said "sure we can try again next month" and I nearly took his head off. Obviously he was trying to be hopeful and was dealing with the grief himself but I was like "Mate, I'm lying in hospital bleeding out... fuck off".

I would say just be kind to yourself. It's ok to feel lots or feel nothing.

So sorry for your loss. It’s such a difficult bag of emotions to deal with. I continued to get faint positive tests almost four weeks until my next period arrived. Stopped testing then so I assume it’s completely negative by now. I’m on cd 9 after my first post miscarriage period.
