Faint positive on supermarket test then negative Clearblue tests near period due

I took a test that came up with a faint second line straight away on a supermarket brand (pink dye) but then the following two days I have taken clear blue tests that have both come back negative. I am probably testing too early. I am due on my period currently, just wondered if anyone else experienced this.

I tested using a clear blue about 4-5 days before I was due and that was negative. On the day I was due I used a cheap supermarket one and that came up with a clear positive. Then once I was a few days late I used clearblue and then it came up positive. Generally I found the cheaper ones were more accurate earlier. Most of the time I can't see other people's faint positives when they include pictures but with yours I can, so 🤞!
