Liver function tests in pregnancy

Hello!
I just wanted to see if anyone has any experience or knowledge of liver tests in pregnancy. I’m 35 weeks and had a liver function test a couple of weeks ago which showed elevated ALT levels (48) so my community midwife repeated the test at the start of this week and when I saw my consultant yesterday she was pleased because my ALT levels had dropped to 33 and then said no more about it all. Today my doctors surgery has rang and the receptionist has asked me to make an appointment with my GP over liver result, when I mentioned I saw my consultant yesterday and she seemed happy and didn’t have any concerns the receptionist said she would pass that on and they would be back in touch if needed. When I’ve looked at my results the only other result coming back out of the normal range is my Albulmin levels, they are currently 28, is this something I should be worried about?

I was having liver tests in pregnancy. I developed intrahepatic Cholestasis in pregnancy and most probably hellp syndrome too.
I was having my liver checked every 3-7 days and my ALTs were 200 at 30 weeks and continued to climb to over 700. My AST were also massively over. These weren't a problem in isolation. Additionally my bile acids could spike at 80 although also could be fairly stable at ~30. When they spiked again at 80 coupled with haemolysis and low platelets I was brought in quickly for induction at 36+6.

Of the liver tests it is the bile acids that are the biggest risk factor as it can cause complications. The combination I had meant I was in hospital with extreme fatigue. Itching is the main symptom of high bile acids so keep any eye out for that. When I mentioned the itching to my consultant she had by blood take there and then. The results came back the next morning at my midwife appointment and she phone triage immediately and they wanted to see my that afternoon. If they were concerned they really would have got you in for more checks.
