Hi girls

iv had a hell of a week I started bleeding Saturday and assumed was my period baring in mind iv had no cramps nothing. Iv also had 2 MC and this has been so different to them

anyway I was curious and I had my first BFP to my surprise on the Monday and clear blue digital 1-2 weeks… anyway the bleeding/ spotting lasted 4 days and I had very dark brown discharge for about 2 days

yesterday I had a scan and they didn’t see anything but mentioned something was measuring at 6m? I have no idea what this means anyway they took some bloods and my levels have come back really low of 31

I was wondering and still trying to keep positive as I’m such a wreck with sorry and my head is doing over time

has anyone got any successful stories with rising levels? Or do you believe I’m out?I got another blood test tomorrow and I can’t stop crying with worry 😢

x

Hi mollieangel, when was your last period? It seems very early for them to do a scan unless it’s at least 6 weeks ago. The 6cm may have been your lining? It’s a horrible limbo to be in. Hope you get some answers soon.

mollieangel123 · 20/03/2026 11:12

@Dragonlady3Hi dragon lady thankyou so much for your reply they scanned me as I got the dates horribly wrong as my head is just everywhere and I thought I was further along

but my last period was 17th February and honestly my head is everywhere 😢 I thought this but the lady said she didn’t even see a thinking lining so I’m really confused they really did keep me in the dark with things and then she seemed to slip up and say it measured 6mm xx

I don’t think the 6mm would mean much if your last period was 17th Feb as they wouldn’t be able to see anything at that point. Unlikely to see a sac even, let alone anything else.
31 doesn’t seem that low for this stage either. The next test should hopefully give you some answers, as the rise will give a better idea of what’s happening.
It’s a shit limbo to be in, but there’s not much you can do. Maybe try and do something - anything to keep yourself occupied during the wait. Go to the cinema, go for a walk etc.

Mine was 30 start of week 4.

Im in hospital atm as had an ovarian cyst that ruptured at 4+3 - they measured my hcg and actually it was very high (to be point I’ve freaked myself out via Google) - 2000. Gestational sac seen on scan. Doctors have assured me there’s a very wide range of normal at this stage.

mollieangel123 · 20/03/2026 19:50

@Dragonlady3thankyou for your reply! I forgot to mention my progesterone was only 4 too aswel as my HGC being 31 would you say 4 is still low? I can’t stand this stage of limbo 😔 I feel like in my gut I’m gunna be told the worse and hearing those words will break me but I’m still holding on to hope too even though I’m still having spotting of brown after the bleeding

iv definitely stayed busy today and it definitely helped just hard not getting answers xxx

@BurningOutti also have a cyst had it since my first born thankyou for your reply! What will they be doing about your cyst? Does it interfere with the pregnancy? Mine hasn’t changed in 10 years so I’m quite curious if that’s okay to ask I also hope you’re okay! Xxx

@mollieangel123 it ruptured causing severe internal bleeding - thought I was going to die. I had keyhole surgery and they patched it up - managed to save the ovary. Apparently there is a small risk to the pregnancy (10% chance of mc) so hoping for the best, but the very high hcg is concerning me (unrelated to cyst, though doctors not bothered).

mollieangel123 · 20/03/2026 20:46

@BurningOuttimg how scary for you! Bless you OP im guessing your staying there till your feeling okay? And if I’m honest with your HGC level and correct me if I’m wrong I’m sure a higher level isn’t a concern but a really good thing? I thought a high HGC level is a good level for a progress pregnancy? I’m sending you so much love your way tho OP and I really hope you heal soon and baby is all okay ❤️ xxx

Thank you @mollieangel123 it was very scary - there was so much blood they couldn’t tell from the scan what the issue was so I was prepared for ectopic pregnancy/to lose the ovary and/or tube. Google tells me that very high hcg can be a sign of chromosomal disorders or molar pregnancy so that’s not great. Or multiples but there was definitely only one gestational sac in there. Only time will tell - will have a rescan in 2 weeks.

VioIetMoon · 20/03/2026 22:29

I had mine done at 6 weeks and it was 400 which is low but resulted in a healthy baby boy
I had mine tested in another pregnancy at 6 weeks 615 they were concerned about etopic as not doubling went upto 670 then 700 then I miscarried . The starting number doesnt really matter what matters is that its doubling every 48 hrs.
If your period was due Saturday past , then your barely 5 weeks pregnant. Its unlikely to be able to see anything on a scan
